San Jose Downtown Association Elevates Brand Identity
Few companies are more proud of their San Jose roots than we are—after all, Silicon Valley Thinking™ has been part of our DNA throughout our 20-year history. We got the chance to show our love for our great city in a more tangible way by partnering with the San Jose Downtown Association (SJDA) to create an evolved brand identity designed to ensure branding success for the longtime community business organization.
The previous SJDA visual identity served the association for more than three decades, but the new branding our agency created elevates the presence of the organization, as well as awareness, in the community and increases the SJDA’s ability to inspire engagement and drive investment.
Our chief design officer, Justin Peters, notes the new logo serves as an anchor element, propelling the rest of the visual identity to articulate and demonstrate the plans the organization has to advance its future goals through direct community engagement. The rebrand helps the association better define itself as an integral member of the community and helps drive growth beyond its traditional bounds.
“We are not only refreshing our identity—we are also reactivating our brand,” Scott Knies, executive director of SJDA says.
Scott Gardner, our agency’s CEO, adds, “To have a chance to reinvigorate the branding of an organization as important to the city as the SJDA is an honor for us. We know the new identity system positions the association well for future growth.”
Our work for SJDA has already gained lots of attention—making the cover of GDUSA and winning two golds and an ADDY at the 2022 Silicon Valley ADDYs.
